this is a message in a bottle.
often times I feel that I post on the Internet, photos, drawings, words, videos, all pieces of what I do...
I used to want something in return.
I won't lie.
I wanted praise.
somewhere along the way people became more important.
many times I've cried from joy when I've received an email telling me how one of my drawings, or a photo I've taken, or maybe a video I've done with Amnesia touches someone...
this to me means someone out there feels.
they get it.
and perhaps in their moment of loneliness they found life.
and they give back that life, like a mirror, in the form of an email.
often times when I need it the most.
and so I cry from happiness because it's the beauty of putting out beauty into a world filled with ugliness and getting that same beauty back ten fold.

If you are reading this and are not yet gagging or have rolled your eyes,
I thank you from the bottom of my heart for bringing such joy into my life.
I am very lucky to have you in my life.


May 2009 bring you much love and joy.
Stay strong, and keep working to make this world a better place for not only us but for future generations.

Making Magic

Writing music with Rio has been a blast. Last night I transfered a garage band file through AIM for the first time. Rio was sporting a 70s porn star mustache. If you don't know what all of this means let me spell it out F U N.

Two nights ago Mike (the bf) slept over. He delivered an amazing piece of news regarding a feature film he wants to direct. He's a filmmaker in case ya didn't know. I'm crossing my fingers things work our for him in 2009. I can't wait for his baby to come to life. So exciting! True, I am excited for him but I'm just as excited about potentially hitting the red carpet next to him someday :-) We're gonna turn heads. HA.

I'm working hard on GenderFun.com and getting things set up. In addition to original videos for the site, I'm also working on a series of special audio recordings. I don't plan to release the full recording series till late April but I figured I give you a little taste.

The following recording is a reading of an essay I wrote 4 years ago about my mother.

Sing a Song

Life is good.
I've been so busy the past week that sleep is what I sacrifice.
Who needs to sleep anyway?
I'm reaching a level where I'm happy with the songs I'm writing.
Trying to work it out so that Rio and I can go into the recording studio in the next few months to lay down the tracks.
I really hope we can release the first single by the Spring.

On another note
www.GenderFun.com is going to be the bomb.
It's a labor of love.

I look a bit silly but very very happy. How can I not be happy in the photo, see my glass of wine in the background?
oh, and the fact that I'm with the greatest man alive.
